We can often lose sight of our self when facing challenges or difficulties and seeking counselling can feel like a really daunting thought, wondering how it will work, what will happen and what might the counsellor be like.
Talking things through with someone impartial who will not judge or make decisions for you can, however, be a really valuable experience, by allowing you some space and help to make sense of what’s going on.
Christine, a trained and practising person-centred counsellor, is committed to building a collaborative and trusting relationship with you so that you can freely express and explore whatever it is you need from counselling.
Warm and compassionate, Christine offers a calm presence to aid you through the counselling process, listening carefully to your experience, offering supportive challenge where it might help. She will help you to find a way through your difficulty to reach insight, understanding, clarify or consider options and find the way to cope or move forward in your life that feels best for you.
Christine’s counselling experience includes working with:
- Abuse-(childhood, domestic,emotional, sexual)
- Eating disorders and difficulties
- Low Self Esteem
- Work related change and stress
- Relationship difficulties
- Life debilitating conditions
- Long term illness
Christine is a registered member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and works and abides by their code of ethics.
Christine has also had further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and would be happy to talk with you about how that might be integrated into sessions if it is appropriate. She also has coaching experience gained from her previous work roles.
