Many people have issues going through life and need some support getting back on track. If you have been going through something that you may or may not have shared at this time, and you would like some support on your journey, then Emma will be happy to walk with you. Life can be difficult at times and we all need support at some points. Don’t feel you cannot ask for the support you need.
Emma is a Person-Centred Counsellor with 12 years’ experience of working in mental health services, EAP (Employee Assistance Programs) and the voluntary sector. Since qualifying as a counsellor in 2004, Emma has worked within mental health services in Glasgow, with an LGBT sexual health service and currently works with an Employee Assistance Provider.
Emma works with a wide variety of issues but has a particular affinity for working with relationship issues and loss, specifically miscarriage. She is also experienced in working with:
- relationship issues
- family issues
- work-based problems
Emma has experience of working with couples both in a open-ended and a time-limited way.
Being in a couple can be amazing but at times, due to life’s stresses, conflict and communication issues, it can be hard. Through open discussion and exploration, issues can be aired and resolved in order to build a strong, lasting and loving relationship.
Emma has a BA majoring in Behavioural Science and a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling from Strathclyde University. She is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abides by their ethical guidelines.
