Heather is a qualified Person Centred counsellor. She believes that everyone has the ability to grow and change in ways that are best for them. She provides a safe and therapeutic space to work through issues that are proving to be difficult for you at this time. By exploring and understanding this process, Heather helps facilitate moving forward, as you shape and change those difficulties into something more manageable. Heather is passionate about the Person Centred Approach as it allows for an honest and genuine openness which can build a significant relationship between both of you. It is within this relationship that understanding and growth can take place.
Heather has worked with a wide range of clients and various issues. She is particularly experienced in working with clients who are voice hearers. She has also worked with clients, both male and female, who have experienced childhood abuse. Issues she has worked with include:
- Work-related stress
- Relationship difficulties
- Personal life stress/changes
- Sexual abuse (both male and female)
- Physical/emotional abuse (both male and females)
- Voice Hearing/Hallucinations
However there are no limitations to Heather’s practice and she welcomes everyone.
Heather is qualified with a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling from Strathclyde University and is a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). She works in accordance with their ethical guidelines and professional standards for practice.

Counselling sessions last 50 minutes and cost £40.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please contact Heather as soon as possible. Missed appointments and appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full. If you arrive late for your appointment, it will still have to end at the usual time.
